Support Your Clients Through Fertility, Pregnancy, Postpartum, and Loss—With Confidence.

THERAPY ESSENTIALS FOR THE REPRODUCTIVE YEARS

Learn how to support clients through the emotional complexities of the reproductive years—using practical, evidence-based tools you can apply right away.

This Course is For You:

You support clients in their 20s to 40s—whether you’re a therapist, doula, midwife, nurse, or other care provider —whether or not reproductive mental health is your specialty.

If you’ve ever supported someone who is:

  • Navigating fertility stress, IVF, or reproductive decision-making

  • Pregnant after loss or feeling disconnected from their experience

  • Overwhelmed in postpartum with anxiety, rage, or identity shifts

  • Struggling in their relationship due to the demands of new parenthood

And you’ve found yourself wondering:

  • “What do I say when this comes up?”

  • “Is this still in my scope?”

  • “Should I refer out?”

This course is designed to meet you where you are—giving you the tools, language, and confidence to support clients more fully with skill, clarity and compassion.

Therapists and care providers are being asked to hold more—and clients are bringing complex reproductive stories into the room more than ever. This course gives you the tools, language, and clarity to meet them there.

By the end of this course, you’ll know how to:

  • Identify how fertility stress, pregnancy loss, postpartum adjustment, and grief show up—especially when clients don’t say it outright

  • Apply evidence based frameworks like CBT, IPT, and attachment theory to reproductive mental health in a way that feels human, not textbook

  • Navigate tough moments: pregnancy ambivalence, partner resentment, trauma reactions, and identity shifts

  • Support individuals and couples across the reproductive journey, even when emotions are raw or conversations feel high-stakes

  • Recognize when you’re the right person to support your client—and when collaboration or referral is needed

  • Feel more confident and grounded when your client says, “I’ve never told anyone this before.”

This isn’t theory you’ll shelve. These are tools you’ll actually use—in sessions that matter.

What You Will Learn:

Course Format & What’s Included

Therapy Essentials for the Reproductive Years is a 6-week, live Zoom-based course designed for therapists, doulas, midwives, nurses, and other care providers who want to feel more confident, clear, and equipped to support clients through fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and loss.

6 live, practical modules focused on:

  • Fertility: Learn how to support clients navigating uncertainty, grief, and complex decision-making. Understand common mental health challenges in fertility work and how to address them in-session.

  • Pregnancy: Whether it’s joyful, complicated, or both—pregnancy brings up a lot. We’ll talk about how to gently support anxiety, trauma, and disconnection, especially when the experience doesn’t match what clients expected.

  • Postpartum: Apply evidence-based models (CBT, IPT, attachment) to the most common postpartum mood presentations. Learn how to work with clients who resist support and how to recognize when a referral is needed.

  • Pregnancy Loss: Loss is often invisible—but it lingers. You’ll learn how to support clients after miscarriage, stillbirth, or TFMR, and how to sit with grief that doesn’t follow a timeline.

  • Couples Work: Learn how fertility stress, pregnancy, loss, and early parenting can affect connection, communication, and intimacy. We’ll cover how to support couples using tools like EFT to foster reconnection and shared understanding.

  • Partners Mental Health: Learn how emotional challenges show up for fathers and partners who didn’t give birth. Explore ways to recognize distress, open up supportive conversations, and include all parents in your care.

Plus:

  • Bonus 7th session: Live role-play and consultation to practice skills in real-time

  • Real-world case examples throughout the course

  • Therapist scripts + clinical language prompts

  • Session replays for 12 months

  • Certificate of Completion (with short quiz to consolidate learning)

This course is built for practical application. You’ll walk away with tools you can use in your very next session.

About The Instructor:

Hi, I’m Mila Arsenijevic (MSW, RSW), founder of Toronto Therapy Practice and creator of this course.

For the past 15+ years, I’ve worked with clients through fertility struggles, pregnancy, postpartum transitions, and loss—first at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, and now through my group practice dedicated to reproductive mental health.

My work has spanned the full spectrum of reproductive mental health care—from the Mother and Baby Unit to the outpatient perinatal mental health program, to working in close collaboration with perinatal psychiatrists at Mount Sinai Hospital. I’ve supported clients through the Special Pregnancy Program, the NICU, and have worked extensively with individuals and couples navigating fertility challenges.

This course was born out of a need I saw again and again: therapists and care providers being asked to support clients in complex reproductive situations—without the training or tools to feel confident doing so.

Whether you work in this space every day or it shows up occasionally in your practice, this course gives you the tools and confidence to support clients through some of the most emotionally complex moments of their lives.
