MEET THE TEAM
Annie Peralty,
RP (Qualifying)
With a background in both psychology and counselling, Annie brings warmth, compassion, and a collaborative spirit to her work with individuals and couples. She has experience supporting clients through challenges related to infertility, perinatal loss, anxiety, depression, and relationship stress. Annie integrates evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), while tailoring each session to meet her clients’ unique needs and goals.
Drawing from Both Training and Lived Experience
Annie’s work is shaped not only by her academic and clinical training but also by her own journey through infertility, pregnancy loss, and surrogacy. This lived experience allows her to connect with clients on a deeper level, offering genuine empathy and an understanding of the emotional complexities involved. She knows how isolating these challenges can feel, and she brings both professional skill and heartfelt compassion to help clients feel supported and less alone. Clients working with Annie often find comfort in her ability to truly understand their struggles and to create a safe, validating space where they don’t have to explain or justify their feelings.
A Commitment to Community and Care
Beyond her individual and couples therapy work, Annie has been actively involved in community support initiatives. She has facilitated peer groups for individuals navigating surrogacy, and volunteered as a helpline peer supporter with the Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support Centre. These roles have reinforced her belief in the power of connection, compassion, and shared experience in fostering healing and resilience.
Guiding Clients Forward
Whether you’re navigating the grief of loss, the uncertainty of infertility, or the adjustments of early parenthood, Annie offers both compassion and evidence-based support. Her goal is to help clients find steadiness, restore hope, and move toward a future that feels more balanced, connected, and fulfilling.
More About Annie
Outside of her clinical work, Annie enjoys reading and watching science fiction and fantasy stories, crocheting, and spending time with her family. These creative and grounding outlets reflect the balance she values in life — weaving together imagination, creativity, and meaningful connection.
